today I am presenting you the World card, the last card in the Major Arcana and the last card in the Major Arcana Series writing project.
With this card I complete the Major Arcana interpretations second time around, as I went through this process before (in 2009/2010) in this blog. For the reason that some of the posts on the Major Arcana interpretations are too old and difficult to find, I will create a new tab (under the home page) called Major Arcana Series were you will find quick access to all interpretations of the Major Arcana Cards (old and new), so please come back soon to see that.
And now the World card interpretations ,as I found them in other tarot books I read ,are being reexplained below:
The World
Overview:
The final card of the Major Arcana generally
represents final victory after struggle, a goal achievement or a reward. With this
card you are encouraged to think globally. It can also indicate travel and/ or that
you involved in international relations or it can mean that you are doing some form
of exercise such as dancing, bodywork, etc. In a general reading the World can indicate
travel, change of address/ business or even immigration. Also, the World card announces the completion of a cycle
and the beginning of a new one.
Challenges:
In a challenges position the World brings
in a delay (or even a failure) in the achievement of a goal/ and or reward/ promotion
or a delay or postponement of travel. Together with other negative cards it can
indicate a loss of position. In health it relates to problems with the back spine
or any bone problems/ issues.
As a shadow card, the World it could mean
any of the following:
-
You are missing out on the
joys of the moment;
-
You are searching for happiness
outside yourself;
-
You are indulging in wishful
thinking or are seeking unattainable goals;
-
You are being attracted
to people/ ideas that may hurt you;
-
You are not able to focus
to see things into perspective.
Solution:
As a solution the World card represents some
sort of reward or promotion for your work. In this context it brings prosperity
and excellence, triumph and completion. As an advice card, it encourages you to
let go of the past and focus on the future.
The World card in the following decks: #1. The Jane Austen Tarot, #2 Nicoletta Ceccoli Tarot, # 3 The Tarot of the Celtic Faeries and #4. The Dark Grimoire Tarot
