Major Aracana Series- the High Priestess

7:18 AM 0 Comments
Today we continue the tarot writing project the Major Arcana Series with the High Priestess.

The general overview:

There are things about your situation you do not know, they are hidden. There is mystery around a situation and there are past life influences into the present. You may feel a psychic connection with someone you just met and have deja-vue feelings towards that person. There is hidden knowledge that needs to be revealed. The High Priestess is ruled by the Moon indicating that the situation you are in may involve dreamwork, divination, spell-casting and magic.

Issues and Problems:

The knowledge you are seeking is hidden and you may need to take extra steps to find it or leave more time to reveal itself. You or someone you know is withholding information, meaning keeping a secret or having hidden intentions. The High Priestess in challenges position can also mean you are receiving advice or getting help from a spiritual woman or a counsellor. You may find it difficult to trust yourself, believe in your feelings or your situation.

Advice:

You have the intuitiveness required to decide what is right for you. Answers to all your questions are within you, trust your own mind. Spiritual enlightenment is key in the process of self-discovery. You can trust all your instincts without reservation, your gut feeling will show your way. It is the best time to investigate the unknown and the occult. Sometimes the solution is as simple as furthering your knowledge through education or training.

In the picture above we have the High Priestess in 4 different decks, from left to right as follows: #1 The Tarot of Jane Austen, #2 The Tarot of Celtic Faeries, #3 Nicoletta Ceccoli Tarot, #4 Dark Grimoire Tarot.
Explanations vary from deck   to deck as follows:

In the first deck we have Jane Austen herself depicting the High Priestess. The reason for this association is the word "virgin". Jane Austen was never married and the High Priestess is perceived as single as well. It is important to be said that she was single by choice, as it is known that she turned down a marriage proposal from Bigg- Wither, a wealthy man who would have changed her troubled financial situation. The reason behind this refusal is partly due to the fact that she did not want to give up writing in favor of a wealthy marriage. The High Priestess is card number 2 in the Major Arcana, symbolizing balance and choice as well as wisdom. With this card the message is clear you know more than you think you do and others seek your advice.

In the second deck we have a "high priestess fairy". The author of the deck Mark McElroy, tells us on the book that accompanies the tarot pack that he could not find any "virginal creature" in the Celtic folklore so he chose an imaginary High Priestess of the fairy crowd to illustrate this card. He thinks of her as mysterious, unattainable and unapproachable as well as glittery and attractive. This is a time to mediate, watch and listen rather than to take action.

In Nicoletta Ceccoli's deck we have the High Priestess connecting with the "ancient mysteries". In her vision the High Priestess embodies wisdom and feminine intuition. It is easy to notice from the picture that she illustrates High Priestess as winter, showing the bareness, lack of feelings and affection associated with this card.

In the last deck the High Priestess is shown as a "wise woman", maybe even a witch that has knowledge of the "World of the Dreams".

What is your impression of these cards? Is anything you know not written here? Please share.

Magician and High Priestess Love

5:10 AM 0 Comments

The Magician- High Priestess Love

Key words:

- ability to achieve goals for himself  and the woman he loves, the High Priestess
- the Magician is the "master" of their fate
- there has been a long wait of disciplined love between the Magician and the High Priestess, but now is the time for the Magician to use his special talents, skills and knowledge to help High Priestess achieve her goals. In a reading that shows both the Magician and the High Priestess it indicates a good time for to start new projects.
- for the High Priestess, the Magician is her lover, her brother, her best friend, someone who feels and thinks the same as her.
- in real life a Magician can be: an entrepreneur, a writer, a teacher, a guide, an artist/ a man  behind the scenes.
- the Priestess to the Magician is mysterious; she represents love without sex, dream messages, and psychic knowledge. She is always available to the Magician for love, help and support and she has unseen talents that can help the Magician achieve success.
- the Magician and the High Priestess together can defeat their secret enemies.
- when the High Priestess is reversed in a reading it suggests that she is intellectually connected with the Magician, but there is not enough opportunity for love. It can also mean that she has not enough information to proceed, or that there is an emotional, sensitive need to deal with before she can proceed.

In the picture above I selected the Magician and the High Priestess from 4 decks: the Thoth Tarot, Nicoletta Ceccoli Tarot, Botticelli Tarot and Dark Grimoire Tarot.
In the Thoth Tarot we see that the Magician and the High Priestess have almost the same exact colouring, (which we do not find in any other cards) suggesting that the artist Frieda Harris also thought of them as a couple. In  the next deck we have the Magician representing Summer and the High Priestess Winter -  exact opposites who attract. Last, not least in the Grimoire Tarot the Magician is a writer/ poet more exactly Abdul Alhazred who wrote the Necronimicon and the High Priestess is a "wise" woman who holds the knowledge of the World of Dreams/ dream messages just as I mentioned in the key words above. In the Botticelli Tarot down to the left the Lo Scarabeo booklet tells us that the Magician has "skills and will" and the High Priestess has "knowledge" but I found nothing suggesting that there is a love connection between the two. Please let me know if you see a connection between the Magician and the High Priestess in this deck.

The Magician - High Priestess Couple

2:12 PM 1 Comments
The Magician and the High Priestess are the Couple of the Major Arcana. They each represent the Querent, the Magician for males and the HP for females. Therefore, the HP will represent Athena, and the Magician will signify her significant other, the Dragonfly. In the scenario that is no significant other there will only be a Magician, if the Querent is a male or a High Priestess if the Querent is female. In this case the other card, not representing the Querent, will show a situation rather than a person.

The High Priestess sits in between 2 something, indicating a love triangle or a choice between two suitors. Despite the "other" options Athena remains strongly attached to her Magician. HP's corresponding Planet is Moon, the element is Water, the time is Summer and the key are her feelings/ love and emotions. The Moon as well as the Water indicate strong emotions.

The HP tells us that either her feelings or her lover are hidden. The Magician will need tricks to discover her. The Magician and the HP are perfect for each other, even though his Planet is Mercury, his element is air, and the time is Fall. The Magician functions at key mental level, he has creative potential and abilities. He represents the thoughts, the ideas, the mind, to the communication. It is all about his will to take an initiative, to take action.

The Magician is also the 6th chakra/ the third eye, aka Ajna = command center.
The location of this chakra is Brow, and indicates intuition ans insight. This helps him connect with HP that shares the same attributes. When this chakra is unbalanced- there will be problems with his intuition, clarity and vision. In short he will lack the ability to see into the future. By contrary, when his chakra is balanced he can see his aura and can connect with his spirit guide. The Magician needs to look into his past to see the future. The 6th chakra tells the Magician to be creative in finding ways to connect with HP, to search for new opportunities and ideas.

The lemniscate symbol above his head signifies that their love is eternal.

Lesson 3: The High P to Dragonfly

3:26 PM 0 Comments
High Priestess Message

High Priestess represents the INTUITION and KNOWLEDGE. She always knows when dragonfly thinks of her. It is all about patience and she knows that.

She will not force things out this time. She is expecting the UNEXPECTED!

Sentimental Advice:

Wait! Have patience and get involved just when you know for sure is the right moment. She knows dragonfly will come on his own time.

Future/Fortune:

This time she will do nothing, she will just let things happen! This is new :).. Her intuition will tell her when dragonfly is ready for her.

Solution:

Your heart will tell you what the problem is (distance? mistrust? separation?)

as a Person:

she represents a "secret lover"- 2 opposites finding the path between them. She is the knowledge that is hidden, that he needs to discover to move to the next step. They are perfect for each other. The veil has covered the Truth and things have been unclear. There was also fake counsel and crazy imagination that has distorted High Priestess' image.

In Business:

High Priestess is corresponding to the Cancer zodiac sign. That means she deals with real estate business and property. Anything regarding this type of transactions will be favored. No need to do anything, just use your intuition, be patient and let things happen. When the High Priestess is reversed- well there will revelations of hidden transactions or business information. Something that was NOT previously known will be discovered.

Reversal:

Things will be unclear. There will be some confusion for the moment. There are NO clear answers to your questions NOW. Do not place your confidence with anyone.

Meditation:

  1. Am I ready to wait and to let myself led?
  2. Can I let my guard down this time and think will work out on their own?
