Ok, today I want to let you have a sneak peek at the last 2 tarot cards: the Judgment and the World trump cards and yes, my garden.

First of all I need to say I am not much of an outdoor person, unless it involves beach and/ or a pool. However, my family has a garden, where I do not get very much involved. This might change for the rest of the Summer mostly because I have a new found interest in herbs.

First, the Judgement card:

it is going to be an interesting study because it is "less" of a negative card, but also not a positive card either.

Second, the Word card:


which is more of "neutral" card with both positive and negative meanings.

today I present you the 19th "happy" trump card in the Major Arcana, the Sun.
Before I give you the general meanings of the cards from the tarot master's point of view I want to give you my own short review on the card.
Not long ago, I saw a youtube video Favorite Tarot Cards made by Kelly- Ann Maddox who presented her favorite tarot cards which were mostly the worst cards in the tarot deck and not the ones anyone would expect otherwise such as the so called "happy" cards. I thought that was a bit eccentric at the time, but now I understand her view better. I personally do not prefer "unhappy" tarot cards over the "happy" cards, but I find some of the "happy" cards plain boring to me. The Sun trump card is such an example: a "happy boring" tarot card. Most often, nothing really happens when I get this card, with the exception when I was pregnant with my son and it did predict pregnancy for me. I think one of the reasons this card is so common to me, it is because I am already an overly optimistic person and I always tend to see things in pink even when they are kind of black. So, yeah, I tend to get this card often, but that is not an indication of great success for me, just a confirmation that I hope for the best as usually.

The Sun, as you may have guessed already, is a positive/ “happy” trump card linked with success, triumph, prosperity, goal realization and celebration. It can indicate a birth in the family, a long awaited pregnancy or the start of a new enterprise/ business. It can also relate to working with children/ animals or completed studies/ passed exams and general good health. As a clear interpretation it can indicate literally a vacation in the sun, a day at the beach, etc.

Hi everyone,

today I will present another unhappy tarot card, the Tower. The good news is that it is the last unhappy card before the last unhappy card which is the Moon. The Tower is my shadow card because it is card number 16 and my birth card is 7 (Computation: birthday day (X) + birthday month(Y) + birthday year(Z)and then you add all numbers together (x+y+z = rrrr, r+r+r+r until you reach a maximum number of 22). For example if your birthday is June 20 1985 your birh card number is 06+20+1985= 2011, then you add 2+0+1+1=4 so, the Emperor is the birth card, and 13 ( 1+3= 4) is the Shadow card.
If there is more interest I will post more of birth cards on a separate post.
So, the Tower card is my shadow card, meaning I had time to experience on my own skin what this card is all about. I think one of the worst things about this card is that predicts events that cannot be prevented or avoided. For me it occurs every 7- 8 years, so it goes in cycles.

the next "unhappy" tarot card is the Devil, trump card 15 ruled by Capricorn. Before you go blaming anyone it is important that Devil manifests in all of us, the only difference is that in some of us has more power than in others. Some of you may be caring too much about money, status and material things others may need and use excessive power, look down on others and be too proud, or yet some others, like myself can let desire overcome their reason at times.
So, whoever thinks is free of Devil's influence is just lying to themselves.
In real life we see examples of devil behavior in what the US did in Irak and Syria- (stole trillions of dollars in gold, oil and artifacts, killed thousands of innocent people, destroyed historical sites and landmarks, as well as entire cities) or is illustrated in what Israel is doing to Palestinian people and what is left of their country (killing thousands of innocent people, using Palestinian children as shields on their tanks, arresting and killing Palestinian children, bombing their city, continuing their invasion by building illegal settlements, just to name a few)

today we continue the tarot writing project with the Temperance card of Major Arcana. It is the 14th card in Major Arcana and is ruled by Sagittarius.
The Temperance trump card is like an oasis in a desert of "unhappy" cards. It does not mean it is a happy card, it only means it is not such an "unhappy" card in the row like: Hanged Man, Death, Devil or the Tower.

Please find below the general analysis of this card according to a bunch of well know tarot writers and explained by me:

Dear All,
we are moving over to the 13th card of the Major Arcana, the Death card. Despite what you may think, this card very rarely if ever indicates physical death. However, it is still an "unhappy" card and it deals with loss and grief and endings and things that make you uncomfortable and you wish to happen fast, but they do not.  Okay, please find below the interpretation of this card as given in most recognized tarot books:

I know has been a bit of a wait before I continued the tarot project with the Hanged Man, but it is emotionally draining to write about the next set of cards as we got to the part of "unhappy" tarot cards, which I personally hate. Every time I write about a tarot card, I actually emotionally connect with that card as each card transmits me a feeling and/ or a message. The Hanged Man is not a "happy" card and I found myself in this sort of "limbo" situation where I was not able to act on my "free will" during certain periods of time. Please find below the general overview of the card as told by Rachel Pollack, Mary K Greer, Anthony Louis and John Mangiapane and interpreted by me.

Justice Card- is traditionally card number 11 in the Major Arcana, however in some decks you can find it at number 8.
This is a controversial card because what Justice means to me, may not mean to you and vice versa, and each person has their own ideas of justice. That being said I am not very fond of this card, even though it can also mean achieving equilibrium, balance. I am passionate about all things in life, and telling me to be balanced is like taking the enthusiasm out of the equation, which is not I am inclined to be liking very much.

To me justice would be something like the quote of the current president of Turkey, Racep Tayyipp Erdogan:
"[Israel] has no conscious, no honor, no pride. They curse Hitler day and night, but they have surpassed Hitler in barbarism".
And this applies to American politics as well, where Jews constantly interfere with American people's true interests and manipulate American government to enter wars and bomb countries they should not go to.

The Justice Card interpretations from my own perspective as well from other author's perspectives are presented below:

 






In relationships, the Justice can mean getting married in the court house, or a in the city hall. Form a business perspective, Justice simply means paying your bills and taxes, or balancing your checkbook.

Today is the Wheel of Fortune' s turn for study. As usually I will start with my short interpretation of the card, followed by a picture of WOF tarot card in four decks and their particular interpretations by author.

This card is a very interesting card, it is very similar in a sense with the Tower Card meaning sudden turn of events but it is not as disruptive as the Tower card. I like changes in life and I always hope for the better, and with this card I always get excited and imagine some extraordinary good thing coming into my life, even though that may not always be the sense of this card, just one of the possible interpretations. I am not so much of a gambler, but I like to take some risks because I am a former student of finance and I have been taught in finance that the higher the risk the larger the profits/ rewards. In fact the rule says that if there is no risk there are no returns. Please do not think I am greedy and I wish for money,but without taking risks nothing will ever change and the profits can be other than just monetary (opportunities, etc). There is always some excitement when taking risks because you do not know how things will turn out, and you can dream, at least for awhile, that things will turn the way you hope.

I hope you did not think I will not finish all the Major Arcana cards interpretations. Despite what you might think I actually need more free time, and special quiet conditions to bring you the right interpretations for the cards. You may have noticed that for the last few Major Arcana cards I did not include the interpretations of the cards in the picture at the bottom of each post. No need to worry, as I will go back and complete those interpretations one by one, as time will allow me. Bottom line is, they all will be completed, so do go back and look at those cards from time to time and see if they have been updated.
On a more personal note, I had been struggling with a number of personal issues, including school education problems for my son, and diet issues. Yes, I am trying to lose weight but going to a gym is not a solution for me as I am out of the necessary time to do so, and the nice sports clubs I do like I cannot afford. I would also like to start a food journal connected with Tarot meditations that will help me work on my diet and achieve my goal of getting down to a size 10 or 8. My main problem is that I really cannot eat a lot of foods and I hate most vegetables, don't eat any boiled anything except potatoes ( I mean mostly vegetables or any meat) and hate fruits that are cooked even in cakes meaning I cannot cook most of the recipes I find online/ offline. If anyone has any ideas or advice on how to achieve my weight goal please do post a comment or send me a message.

we continue the tarot writing project with the Strength card, card Number 8 of the Major Arcana.


The Strength is referring to facing opposition in a courageous, daring way. The zodiac sign corresponding to this card is Leo and the element is fire. The areas covered by Leo sign are creative pursuits, romantic relationships and gambling activities. The strength card is referring to two different types of strength: physical strength and mental/ spiritual strength.

Some of the issues associated with the Strength card are rage, anger and losing control. Passions can get too fiery or you could be denying your true feelings. You might be using too much force in expressing your intentions or your emotions. The challenge with this card is learning to tame your animalistic instincts within you and to control your passions and desires. If you doubt your situation the strength card is telling you to trust and have faith in yourself and your intuition, but do not overuse your power or trust.

You can discover the power within to balance your emotions and bravely face any obstacles and opposition. You have deep connection with animals especially with cats or felines. Regardless the temptation you always have a choice over your actions and behaviour. Use your inner-strength to guide you in your decisions and help you achieve the desired end result.




Above we see the Strength card in 4 different decks:  #1 Tarot of Jane Austen, #2 Tarot of the Celtic Faeries, #3 Nicoletta Ceccoli Tarot and #4 Dark Grimoire  Tarot.

It is easy to notice that in the first two decks the Strength is considered card number 8, but in the last two decks it is card number 11. Initially I had a picture up with all cards number 8, as I always consider the Strength card number 8, associated with the month 8- August and also because leo is the ruler of the Strength card. However, at a closer look I have noticed that in the last two decks the images used for card 8 were in fact the Justice card images, and I immediately corrected the error.

So, what you see in the picture are all pictures of the Strength card in regardless of the card numbers.

In the first deck we see Henry Crawford (the Magician) and Fanny Price of Mansfield Park. We are being told by the author that the two people represent the two types of strength: the physical strength (natural instincts and urges) represented by Henry Crawford and moral or spiritual strength embodied in Fanny Price. When this card appears in a reading it may mean you are in between your mind/ spiritual and your body/ physical desires. Whatever it is you are fighting, you have the ability to triumph over your struggle. Fanny needs to use her "strength" (instincts and courage of her convictions) to resist Henry's enchantment.

The Tarot of the Celtic Faries uses Whoopity Stoorie to depict the Strength card. Whoopity Stoorie looks scary/ unattractive, but she holds the secret knowledge of turning raw materials into goods (ex: white linen wedding shirts). She uses her unique "strength" to achieve "selfish" personal goals.
The author's message behind this card is that appearances can be deceiving, and people that can look "powerless" can have "unseen" Strength. The key with this card is to discover who you really are, what is your life purpose and following what your are meant to do.

In the Nicoletta Ceccoli's deck, Strength card has a clear message that if you are fighting for the good, you will triumph in the long run. Just like in the Jane Austen Tarot, with the Strength card there is a call for using your instincts/ your gut feelings when dealing with your situation.

In the last deck we have a girl confronting the demon/ giant Nyarlanthotep.  The "strength in her heart" not "grimoire" will help her conquer the evoked demon.

The Chariot is up next in our Major Arcana journey. This is my life card because is number 7 and my birth card number is 7. For further information on the life card calculation you can refer to John Mangiapane's book "It's All in the Cards" or you can wait until I  will post a brief explanation of the calculation shortly.

The Chariot


The Chariot represents victory and pursuing self-interest or travel. According to Mary K Greer this card sometimes can refer to military service or competitive sports. The card in this position encourages us not to quit and to stay focused on our goal despite opposition.  The Chariot is ruled by Cancer sign and the element is water meaning it relates to home, mother and real estate.

You may experience difficulties due to opposition and lack of experience. In this position the Chariot advises against underestimating others, being overly confident, hasteful and not thoughtful in your decisions and actions. Avoid moving too quickly or taking rash decisions; learn to exercise patience. The Chariot as a challenge may indicate that you are not interested in love or doing things for enjoyment and you are more preoccupied with the financial rewards or social status aspects.

You are in total control now and can focus and achieve your goals. Now is a good time to change your place of residence or take a vacation. If you receive a job offer or an invitation to join a project, accept it as it will advance your career. The chariot card in the advice position announces that you will overcome all obstacles and defeat your adversaries. Also, if you want to learn how to transact online, do Forex or day trading this is an excellent time to do so.

In the first deck we have Mary Crawford of Mansfield Park riding a horse, rushing towards a new adventure. She says that she admires "those that are honest and rich". The Chariot speaks of movement towards success/ to achieve goals. One of the issues with this card is moving too quickly in everything you do, including speaking too much. Mary feels very confident in her position towards Edmund's heart, and is unable to see Fanny as a competitor. So, this card warns against over-confidence, and looking down at your competition. Also, this card indicates someone that will do whatever it takes to win; will consider love a game which they need to win. Mary cannot understand how Fanny does not see the great opportunity to marry her brother for financial and social reasons and totally overlooks the feelings of love.  When Mary is finally rejected by Edmund she does not take long to "get back on the horse" and move on. This card suggests that you have the capacity to "move mountains" in reaching your goals, but make sure is not something you might regret in the end.

In the Tarot of the Celtic Faeries the Chariot is depicted by the Pooka. The Pooka traditionally shows up at end of October and lures "unwise children to ride his back, then he rides with high speed towards the nearest cliff and plunges over". Mark McElroy's message for this card is that there is "price to pay for progress". He advises to take time to think when an opportunity arises to figure out if it is a real potential or just a Pooka temptation. If you must take a ride with the Pooka, you must get off the horse before he reaches the cliff. Without a goal in mind, is very hard to assess progress, and to determine when you reached your destination. Now is a good time to stop a moment and plan.

Nicoletta Ceccoli's Chariot brings in a new message: you need to move forward decisively in order to be able to help others. It is also an indication of "triumph" despite "adversity", or just foretells travel.

In the last deck we are being told in the LWB that the "Beyond" awaits the Chariot which transports the "remains of material bodies". I take this as an other warning against rushing towards something, when you might not know for sure your final destination.

The tarot writing project presents you today the Lovers card.









In the image above from left to right we have the lovers card in the following decks in the order I prefer them: #1 the Tarot of Jane Austen,  #2 the Tarot of the Celtic Faeries,  #3 Nicoletta Ceccoli Tarot, #4 the Dark Grimoire Tarot.


The first tarot card shows three Pride and Prejudice characters: Mr. Darcy, Elizabeth Bennett and Caroline Bingley. Diane Wilkes encourages you to role play when you receive this card in a reading; meaning you can be in any of the 3 characters' situations. You can be in Mr Darcy's situation where we have to choose between a match in social status (Caroline Bingley), or a match in our affection (Elizabeth Bennett). If you are in Caroline Bingley's situation you may be "worshiping" someone for the wrong reasons, such as status and money. Or you could find yourself in Lizzy's situation where you are so sure of your "discernment" that you decide "to despise" an actually good man/ and turn away a good match.
In short, with lovers card we have an emotional, important relationship decision to make. Please examine the situation from all angles, using evidence from both past and present before rushing to any conclusion.

In the Tarot of the Celtic Faeries the lovers card shows Leannan- Sidhe, a very desirable woman is accompanied by Gan Cenach ("Love Speaker"), who encourages young men to spend all their hard worked money on "unworthy" women. Gan Cenach is handsome. He is the gigolo/ or the pimp of the fairies who acts as a "trusted" friend but he is in for the money. At a deeper level, he represents the wrong decisions we take, even though we know we should not take them.
Mark McElroy advises us with this card to keep our passions/ high emotions in check/ at bay and try to look at our situation with a clear mind.
Leannan- Sidhe and Gan Cenach use attraction to seduce those easily manipulated by physical appearance.

In Nicoletta Ceccoli deck the lovers interpretation we find in the LWB is: a choice that can change everything. The image I see I think it relates to Adam and Eve's story from the Book of Genesis in the Old Testament.
The lovers card here shows Eva's choice to eat from the apple tree after she was tempted by the snake. In the picture Eva looks like in a trance, allured by the snake, who most likely encouraged her to make a bad choice.  It seems that Nicoletta Ceccoli addresses the same issues associated with this card: seduction and temptation.

In the last deck we see two lovers presented with a choice; to choose to say good bye and go to explore the "unknown" or to remain together "between the Mountains of Madness".

I personally wished the lovers card to be something more positive like simply two lovers, two people in love. However if you are looking for pure love you need to find that in other cards like Ace of Cups or 2 of Cups and not in the lovers cards!

today we move forward with the tarot writing project and visit the Empress.











In the image above from left to right we have the Empress tarot card in: deck #1 Tarot of Jane Austen, deck#2 Tarot of the Celtic Faeries, deck #3 Nicoletta Ceccoli Tarot and deck #4 Dark Grimoire Tarot.

In the first deck we have Anne Weston of Jane Austen's Emma novel. Formerly introduced as Ann Taylor, a governess, Miss Taylor has the wonderful opportunity to marry the wealthy Mr. Weston. In the Empress tarot deck, the Empress is obviously pregnant and this suggests fertility and feminine principles often associated with this card. Going even further with this interpretation, being pregnant can symbolize giving birth to something creative: a book, a plan or a project.
The empress is  also a caregiver; we often find her assisting a child or an elderly. Because the Empress tarot card is associated with Venus, she is suggesting someone loving, supportive and compassionate.

In the Tarot of the Celtic Faeries deck the Empress is represented by Onagh, the wife of the king Finvarra and the queen of all faeries. Onagh is recognized as a "nurturing spirit" giving "unconditional love". The fruit in this card "the cherry", symbolizes that you are ready to collect "the fruit" of your labors. In other words, if you have been pursuing a goal, now is time to see the results of your work. Use of force is not recommended with this card, use a more gentle, nurturing approach instead.

The Empress in the third deck is deeply connected with nature. The girl pictured in this card looks involved with the earth's creatures that surround her. There is a love in return, with this card.

In the Dark Grimoire Tarot, the Empress represents Mother Nature. The lady in the picture is from the book of Chulu.  Here, the empress reigns over banished creatures, who await to be conjured up again in order to return and rule over the surface of the planet. In this context she awaits to manifest life again and she is the Goddess of the old inhabitants of this world.

Today we continue the tarot writing project the Major Arcana Series with the High Priestess.







Explanations vary from deck   to deck as follows:

In the first deck we have Jane Austen herself depicting the High Priestess. The reason for this association is the word "virgin". Jane Austen was never married and the High Priestess is perceived as single as well. It is important to be said that she was single by choice, as it is known that she turned down a marriage proposal from Bigg- Wither, a wealthy man who would have changed her troubled financial situation. The reason behind this refusal is partly due to the fact that she did not want to give up writing in favor of a wealthy marriage. The High Priestess is card number 2 in the Major Arcana, symbolizing balance and choice as well as wisdom. With this card the message is clear you know more than you think you do and others seek your advice.

In the second deck we have a "high priestess fairy". The author of the deck Mark McElroy, tells us on the book that accompanies the tarot pack that he could not find any "virginal creature" in the Celtic folklore so he chose an imaginary High Priestess of the fairy crowd to illustrate this card. He thinks of her as mysterious, unattainable and unapproachable as well as glittery and attractive. This is a time to mediate, watch and listen rather than to take action.

In Nicoletta Ceccoli's deck we have the High Priestess connecting with the "ancient mysteries". In her vision the High Priestess embodies wisdom and feminine intuition. It is easy to notice from the picture that she illustrates High Priestess as winter, showing the bareness, lack of feelings and affection associated with this card.

In the last deck the High Priestess is shown as a "wise woman", maybe even a witch that has knowledge of the "World of the Dreams".

The interpreations are as different as the images in the cards are, in order to give you a more diversified meaning of the Magician card.

The Magician is one of the most controversial cards in the tarot deck, I think. He is a trickster, and someone you cannot trust yet charming and with magical powers.
In the Jane Austen Tarot the Magician is represented by Mr. Henry Crawford of Mansfield Park. He is an enchanter and seduces Maria Bertram even though she is married. He convinces her to trust him, despite her married status and he leaves her when he loses interest in her, ruining Maria's life and reputation. Maria is convinced the entire time that Mr. Crawford is in love with her and she faces the truth only when she leaves her. In the end, Maria is sent away to another country. Despite the difference in time, just like Maria I fell for a Mr. Henry Crawford type and he too ruined my life destroying my marriage. Moreover, just like Maria I ended sent out to a different county. It is amazing how my story in our days is the same story that happened so long ago, in Jane Austen time.
Now going back to the Magician card he has many gifts and  all the tools in front of him: the candle- fire, the book-air, the rose-earth and the pitcher of water- water, giving him great power. Mr. Crawford/ the Magician is all about acting, acting in a play or in real life. He says:" I feel as if I could  be anything or everything; as if I could rant and storm or sigh or cut capers, in any tragedy or comedy in the English language".

The Magician in the second deck, the Tarot of the Celtic Fairies is represented by a leprechaun, a male fairy. Leprechauns have magical powers, they show themselves to humans only when they wish to be seen, and if caught they can grant 3 wishes to be let free. Any information they provide is to trick you, to turn you away from the truth, so you should take everything they say with care/ caution. The leprechaun generally has 2 bags of coins, one of gold and another of silver meaning the Magician has all the resources he needs to attain his goal. However, the real treasure is the bag of tools we see in the Magician card of this deck.

The Magician in the Nicoletta Ceccoli deck, the 3rd deck. In this deck the Magician is you, and the card advice is to concentrate on your own powers, to do your magic and to use your own will to change your life.

In the last deck the Magician represents the poet Abdul Alhazred who wrote the Necronomicon, who is said to represent the "key to the underworld". Here the Magician has secret knowledge and has experience with the world of demons.

Every deck has a story for every tarot card and it is so much joy to discover their different meanings.

My assignment was to write tarot card interpretations of the Major Arcana cards for a tarot automated card readings site. However, I turned down the contract because according to the site guidelines/ contract the moment I received payment I would lose the credit as an author. The pay was not in line with the amount of work I put into the project.

The Fool
 
The situation you are in is involving risks. Just like the Fool you may need to take important decisions in order not to fall off the cliff. The reason for the situation you are in may be that you recently lacked focus and direction and your head was in the clouds. In other words, you may have overlooked things or there are things you may have not noticed. Pay attention to all signs and search for more clarity.


Get ready for something new and exciting, a new beginning! Let go of the past and plan your ideas and strategy for a fresh start. Remember, it is never too late to start a new journey. In order to succeed you need to identify with the Fool’s attributes: open-mind, innocence, eagerness to learn, naivety, spirit of adventure. You must remain true to yourself to find loyal friends. If you are to receive an offer, chances are is a good opportunity and you should accept it.




In the image above I picked the Fool card for 4 different tarot decks: #1Tarot of Jane Austen, #2Tarot of the Celtic Faeries,#3 Nicoletta Ceccoli Tarot and #4 the Dark Grimoire Tarot. I wanted to give a variety of different meanings for the Fool card and choosing these four decks served my purpose.

My personal favorite deck is the Tarot of Jane Austen because I read all the six Jane Austen books used in the deck and I have seen all the movies.
The other 3 decks I use less, but I will give their individual explanations below.

The Fool card in the first deck is represented by Elizabeth Bennett of Pride and Prejudice.
She is on her way to Netherfield, the manor house is shown in the background, where her sister Jane is hosted for several days by the Bingleys as a result of an "unexpected", but  carefully planned flu. Elizabeth walks to Netherfield accompanied by a dog, a faithful friend to the outrage of Bingley sisters  who think of her as "almost wild".
The Fool here suggests here independent thought and being your own person regardless of what others may think. Do not be afraid like Lizzy to walk into the unknown and follow your path.

The second deck is the Tarot of the Celtic Fairies. The Fool here is  pictured as a child that encounters the fairies for the first time in her life. It is the starting point of travel into the "enchanted world of Faeries". The fairies around the child may be real or imaginary, the author leaves that to our imagination. One interpretation of this card can be that there are new opportunities and possibilities out there that need to be tried out, even if they are just in our minds.

In the third deck of Nicoletta Ceccoli we have a toy marching at the beat of its own drum, meaning you know yourself best so  just follow your heart.

And then last we have the Dark Grimoire Tarot. This deck is created with pictures inspired from the stories of the Providence, Rhode Island horror 20th century writer, Howard Phillips Lovecraft. (sorry, I previously wrote that the picture may depict Lovecraft himself, but he was never institutionalized. I was thinking of Edgar Allen Poe).
I am not very familiar with his work and the white book does not explain who is the man in this card.  This is a dark deck and I am not surprised to see a negative interpretation of the Fool card which is sometimes connected with madness. The white booklet points to the fact that imaginary creatures are born out of chaos in mad man's mind and they stay in an "external universe"  where time and space have no meaning.
