Minor Arcana Explained (Continued)

7:07 AM 0 Comments
Today I am going to go over some of the meanings of the Minor Arcana cards. But before I do that I want to express some negative feelings I have over the way Osama Bin Laden was killed. I had a lot of hope that President Obama may be different from the rest of the system, and to my dissapointment he is NOT. I mean, how can they kill a person, like common criminals would do, without any Court decision? Not that I expected the Court to be fair either, but at least it would look more civilized. The Media did not comment on it either. Why?
Ok, now having that said I feel better already :)
Going back to the Minor Arcana explanation the best way to do it is to first run your astrological natal chart at the following
link
Once you have your chart note which planets you have in which signs and match them against their corresponding Minor Arcana cards. Attention you will not find all your planets as Minor Arcana has only 7 planets not 10 in 5/6 signs, not 12 astrological signs.
I myself only found 2 cards to match- the 2 of Wands and the 9 of Coins.

In order to remember the Minor Arcana card meanings pick the cards that match your
natal chart planet placements and those cards that you like or hate most.

Here is a sample of the cards I picked:

2 of Wands-
Mars in Aries- A decision is needed it. This is a time for assessment and planning.
As a person this will be someone full of ambition, acting on impulse, and taking high risks. It is also someone independent, brave that does not like to listen to advice, learns the hard way.
In a reading, the Querrent is a poweful adversary, ambitious in obtaining success and popularity
Mars will direct the energy towards selfish affirmation. With this placement there is conflict between ego and harmony. The person with Mars in Aries must learn to control impulsiveness and aggression.

9 of Coins-
Venus in Virgo-
The pursuit of some goals is successful. The pursuit is not easy, and that makes it more enjoyable. As a person, it will be someone that lives alone, enjoys personal achievements in solitude. As a negative interpretation (when the card is reversed) it will indicated a dependency on another person or at least sharing the credit for some achievement with another person.
It can also mean insecurity and these people often feel misunderstood, and lack affection in their lives. On the positive side, 9 of Coins is complete realization of material gain, inheritance, keeping things or appreciation of assets.

Tomorrow I will continue with the meanings of Moon in signs.

Ps- Someone posted some unrelated link to my post. Please ONLY post astrology related topics, NOT advertisment for India.

Minor Arcana and Astrological Correlations

8:45 AM 2 Comments
I am back after one year absence. I had to decide if I wanted to continue writing on the same blog or create a new one. I decided in the favour of the existing blog, at the moment.
In the past this blog has been a mixed of personal issues and Tarot/ Astrology. I no longer want to combine the two. Starting fresh I want to continue writing mainly on Tarot/ Astrology topics. That being said, today I will focus on the Minor Arcana, which has never been addressed before in this blog.
There are 56 minor arcana cards- out of which 4 of each suit are Court Cards (Maiden or Page, Knight, Lady or Queen and Lord or King). The court cards do not have astrological associations, and the same goes for the aces of each suit (wands or candlesticks, swords or quills, cups or teacups, and pentacles or coins).
That leaves us with 56-(4*4 + 4)= 36 CARDS with astrological associations.

There are 10 planets and 12 astrological signs that represent the Major Arcana as follows:
(just to review)

0. Fool= AIR= Uranus
1. Magician= Mercury
2. High Priestess= Moon
3. Empress= Venus/ Spring
10. Wheel of Fortune= Jupiter
12. Hanged Man= Neptune
16. Tower= Mars
19. Sun= Sun/ Summer
20. Judgment= Pluto/ Fire
21. World= Saturn

4. Emperor= Aries (April) also = 3 of wands (in Minor Arcana)
5. Hierophant= Taurus (May)
6. Lovers= Gemini (June)= 3 of swords (in Minor Arcana)
7. Chariot= Cancer (July)
8. Strengh= Leo (August)
9. Hermit= Virgo (September)= 8 of Coins (in Minor Arcana)

14. Temperance- Sagittarius (December)
15. Devil - Capricorn (January)= 4 of Coins (in Minor Arcana)
17. Star- Aquarius (February)
18. Moon- Pisces (March)

Now out of the 36 Minor Arcana 5 of them I outlined above: 3 of wands (Sun in Aries)
3 of swords (Sun in Gemini), 8 of coins (Sun in Virgo), 6 of cups (Sun in Scorpio) and
4 of coins (Sun in Capricorn).

That can be memorized as 1-1-2-2-3
1-aries first fire sign
1-gemini first air sign
2-virgo second earth sign
2-scorpio second water sign
3-capricorn third earth sign

The left 31 cards are spread among only 6 planets Not all 10. The 3 planets left out
are: Pluto, Neptune and Uranus. Please note Sun is NOT left out, but was already covered above.

Each of the 6 planets left will occur as follows:

10 of Cups- Mars in Pisces- water

Mercury:

8 of Wands- Mercury in Sagittarius- fire
6 of Swords- Mercury in Aquarius- air
5 of Coins- Mercury in Taurus- earth
10 of Coins- Mercury in Virgo- earth

Sun- outlined in the beginning also
and has the Plante 2 twice in Earth signs;

(2 times in fire signs)

5 of Wands - Saturn in Leo- fire
10 of Wands- Saturn in Sagittarius- fire
3 of Swords- Saturn in Libra- air
7 of Coins- Saturn in Taurus- earth
8 of Cups- Saturn in Pisces- water

Ok, this is a lot of information and it will take some time to memorize.
I myself, use some cheat sheets for reference.
In my next post I will go over the meanings of these astrological representations.

For now I am happy that I am back and please post any questions or suggestions you may have.

The Hierophant Step

8:59 AM 0 Comments
Athena's step today is the Hierophant. The sign is Taurus, the element is Earth, the time is Spring and the key are her sensations, manifestation and money.

In this sense the Hierophant step will represent her believes regarding tradition and ways of handling her financial affairs. This step is about handling money.

As a person the Hierophant can be a consultant and an advisor. He is old fashion. Never try to negotiate at this level because the Hierophant is very stubborn and will not be flexible to new ideas. However, he is wise and holds a lot of spiritual knowledge. The two keys at the bottom of the Hierophant card suggest that Anthia must listen and hold her speech till later, because he has all the knowledge she needs. The Hierophant is placed between two pillars that show him as a mediator. He has both the pros and cons and holds the right solution.

To uncover the original meaning click on the following link: the Hierophant.

For Athena this will be the time she will polish her resume. The hierophant will show her as a woman returner that acquired new skills in her role as a full time mother such as ability to be patient and flexible. Her varied work experience has taught her many things about different organizations and made her confident at joining the new freelance role as a virtual marketing assistant/ blogger/ website content writer.

The Empress and Emperor Steps

9:07 AM 0 Comments
Hello everyone!

You may think that the Empress and the Emperor are a couple too. However, they are NOT a couple. The Empress is the mother figure and predicts fertility, while the Emperor is the father figure and represents authority.

To uncover their original meanings click on the links below:

Empress
Emperor

The Empress will foretell Athena's lesson and give advice on her love troubles. Most important she will give her a magic love key that will open her potential to love.
Athena's lesson meant to learn from her situation is that love does not solve problems, makes problems. What can she use from her experience to grow and improve?

Athena's lesson was to learn that police and the legal system do not always apply by the law. Just being right is not enough to win in Court. Corruption and religious believes are above doing the right thing. Justice surrounds around who you know, and being Jewish connected is how you get win your case when you are guilty ( hack someone's computer and break a young mother's arm when she tries to file a complaint).
Honest admission to assume NOT GUILTY is getting nowhere and blaming her accusers will get her charged with felony from misdemeanour. Going to Court again is not going to get her any justice, if anything will give her plaintiff another chance for revenge.

Empress advice is to negotiate her situation. There is no love connection with September, the man who seduced and abandoned her with no remorse. Even worse, this man made all her love letters public and accused her of harassment, when he was the one who pursued her and never stopped flirting.
How does she go from here?

The Magician - High Priestess Couple

2:12 PM 1 Comments
The Magician and the High Priestess are the Couple of the Major Arcana. They each represent the Querent, the Magician for males and the HP for females. Therefore, the HP will represent Athena, and the Magician will signify her significant other, the Dragonfly. In the scenario that is no significant other there will only be a Magician, if the Querent is a male or a High Priestess if the Querent is female. In this case the other card, not representing the Querent, will show a situation rather than a person.

The High Priestess sits in between 2 something, indicating a love triangle or a choice between two suitors. Despite the "other" options Athena remains strongly attached to her Magician. HP's corresponding Planet is Moon, the element is Water, the time is Summer and the key are her feelings/ love and emotions. The Moon as well as the Water indicate strong emotions.

The HP tells us that either her feelings or her lover are hidden. The Magician will need tricks to discover her. The Magician and the HP are perfect for each other, even though his Planet is Mercury, his element is air, and the time is Fall. The Magician functions at key mental level, he has creative potential and abilities. He represents the thoughts, the ideas, the mind, to the communication. It is all about his will to take an initiative, to take action.

The Magician is also the 6th chakra/ the third eye, aka Ajna = command center.
The location of this chakra is Brow, and indicates intuition ans insight. This helps him connect with HP that shares the same attributes. When this chakra is unbalanced- there will be problems with his intuition, clarity and vision. In short he will lack the ability to see into the future. By contrary, when his chakra is balanced he can see his aura and can connect with his spirit guide. The Magician needs to look into his past to see the future. The 6th chakra tells the Magician to be creative in finding ways to connect with HP, to search for new opportunities and ideas.

The lemniscate symbol above his head signifies that their love is eternal.

Athena's Situation

9:04 AM 0 Comments
Athena is ready for a new beginning. She will let herself go and experiment whatever will happen as long as she will enjoy it. Things are still chaotic and if she misses she will have to start all over again.
Athena is spontaneous and she knows solutions will come by change. Her curiosity will come in handy this time. In order to succeed at this step she needs to identify with the Fool's attributes as a person: open-mindedness, innocence, eagerness to learn and naivety.
She will find "old" friends and make "new" ones in a book social network such goodreads, except her name there is Lydia or something. That is because she wants to re-connect with someone from her past . They met in 1800s England, he moved on into 1930s, but she is into 1980s now. She has identified with Nicky Wells and wants to know more about Cleeland Donovan.
Just like the Fool from Major Arcana Tarot Athena is a traveller. The thought of changing her career into something more creative and more independent than her jobs in the past became her short term plan. Getting into freelance becomes her strategy. The lack of direction, trauma and difficulties are something that belong to her past now.
A one card reading a day will do for a spiritual connection with someone close to her. The card of today is : The King of Coins. This means that someone from her past is thinking of her. He is well educated, honest and logical. He could be a good adviser for Athena.
